Job Title: Associate Manager - Network Control (NOCC Manager) Job Code: NCM4 Job Location: New Delhi, India : Reports to the Program Engineering Head The FTI India (FTI-I) Operations Manager is responsible for the operations of the FTI-I network with the primary focus of managing a 24 x 7 x 365 Network Operation team, providing network managed services to the Air Services of India (AAI) customer. This position provides direct leadership, management and direction to team leads, NOC Supervisors, Network Operations Specialists, Tier2 engineers and Metrics & Maintenance specialists in fulfilling the operations, maintenance and SLA management of the FTI-I program. To fulfill the requirements of the position, the Operations Manager should have in-depth knowledge and a solid understanding of the FTI-I network technologies, ITILv4 industry standards as well as operations, maintenance and metrics policies and procedures. Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage the operations team to comply with contract requirements.
  • Continually assess, develop and improve ITILv4-aligned service operations practices (Incident, Change, Problem & Relationship Management etc).
  • Develop team leads and NOC supervisors to ensure staff addresses issues efficiently and accurately in a team-oriented environment at all levels of the operations team.
  • Coordinate with the PMO and HR to ensure adequate staffing across the operations team, to include CAM accounts maintenance.
  • Maintain the NOC charge code and collaborate with PMO on any unexpected cost differences.
  • Coordinate the development, refinement, and documentation of NOC policies, processes and guidance and to ensure adherence to ITILv4 practices.
  • Monitor staff training needs, determine training requirements and ensure training is actively implemented.
  • When required, lead recovery efforts for significant network events, serve as escalation manager for customer/partner service performance issues and collaborate with PMO and CSE when required.
  • Interface with PMO and customer/partner effectively.
  • Contribute program level content to weekly supervisor staff meetings.
  • Primary contributor of operations content of and primary presenter in Program Reviews, partner performance meetings and customer presentations.
  • Identify process deficiencies and manage efforts in process improvement.
  • Plan projects, contribute to training, define objectives, manage timelines and deliverables.
  • Achieve milestones for the NOC in a manner that is quantifiable.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Excellent spoken/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher with a Computer Science or Management focus along with 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 NOC leadership experience or 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 combined experience in the telecommunications field with at least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 NOC leadership experience.
  • Proven and extensive ITILv4 based Incident, Problem, Change, Performance and Relationship Management experience.
  • Capable of translating complex, technical concepts into easily understood terms.
  • Comfortable in face-to-face customer engagements and high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated experience with network operations process definition, operations management, and customer service assurance is required.
  • ITILv4 Foundation certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with network monitoring element and performance manager applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of Ethernet service types (including Fiber and RF based telco based), service classes and corresponding SLA requirements.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Certifications preferably include Cisco CCNA, CCNP.
  • Continuing education toward ITILv4 Strategic Leader and Managing Professional.
