We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President, Compliance Assurance, GSC\'s The Opportunity: Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities ( e.g. for Business, customers and stakeholders, internal control environment, what the role entails, etc.) Completes Reviews to a high standard and consistently meet service level agreements and Global Standards, Principles and Guidance Is cognisant of current and developing global Principles, Standards and Guidance, regulatory requirements, Global Risk and Compliance policy and other Group policies Provides stakeholders timely updates on review progress and output is presented accurately, concisely and professionally (when acting in a Review Lead capacity) What you\'ll do: Leadership & Teamwork The role-holder is expected to: Uphold the HSBC values (we value difference, we take responsibility, we succeed together, and we get it done) Promote a \'speak-up\' culture Builds strong relationships with all internal stakeholders, adopting a collaborative approach to complete tasks with minimum conflict Requirements What you will need to succeed in the role: Functional Knowledge (requirements/desirable skills and experience for the role) Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills Good understanding of regulatory compliance and financial crime risks and issues Excellent stakeholder management skills, including liaising with colleagues at all levels within the bank Proven track record in managing own time in a fast-changing environment Flexible, able to work in pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively Organised and methodical approach to tasks Desirable: Conversant with relevant regional laws, regulations and overall regulatory environment and assurance/ audit methodology/ practices Experience of working in a complex financial services institution Experience of working in Assurance or Risk functions, or other relevant teams within 1LoD or 2LoD You\'ll achieve more at HSBC HSBC is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
