AVP - Client Services Director
- As the Client Services Director you'll lead the development of a portfolio of clients, driving client revenues, delivering strong creative and marketing product to clients businesses and motivating and inspiring a brilliant internal team.
- You'll help drive broader agency growth through new business, as well as via client growth.
- The person in this role needs to have a mind for organic business growth, relationships within the India market, someone who can see and foster new opportunities while managing current deliverables.
- An ideal candidate has experience leading a team, supporting collaboration, building process and managing client relationships and expectations.

Key Responsibilities :
- Commercial growth
- Be the lead strategic adviser to your clients, supporting them with all their requirements
- Leading the client servicing team and colleagues in the planning team to develop proactive and responsive strategic proposals which drive demonstrable value for your clients
- Identifying and developing relationships with key budget holding clients across their business at senior levels, seeking opportunities and consistently developing plans for business growth
- Developing and nurturing relationships with senior people in the brand marketing teams
- Being wholly accountable for client revenue targets across your accounts - in terms of forecasts, the buck stops with you - you need to take responsibility for them, anticipating and reacting rapidly to changes in your clients' businesses
- Leading in client negotiations, sitting at the top table with senior level procurement and marketing contacts to agree agency fees and retainers
Account management and project delivery :
- Working with your account team and the wider client team as you would your own mini agency - it is your role to make sure everything is running smoothly
- Leading and motivating your account team to deliver first-class account management, ensuring projects delivered are of a high standard, on budget and meet company margin
- Ensuring compliance to company reporting and legal procedures as well as the management of the client account to the terms of any contractual agreements
- Guaranteeing your team are adhering to account billing processes, maintaining a sense of urgency in timely and accurate invoicing in line with, or ahead of, your forecasts
Delivering great product :
- Proactively develop, implement and share new ways to improve the quality of work within the agency
- Head up and take responsibility for the agency's strategic and creative response to briefs, helping to evaluate in terms of quality and budget and benchmarking against objectives/KPIs set
- You will work with your team to develop brilliant and inspiring briefs which help to deliver the very best strategic and creative work - making sure clients recognize the value in them
- Oversee the formal evaluation of completed campaigns and sharing of results - it is important that you make sure learnings are shared across the agency as well as within your team
- To ensure that you and your team continually push creative boundaries, striving for excellence in all brief responses
- Take leadership in reviewing creative work in an objective and constructive manner, working closely with the senior creative teams to deliver the best product possible
- Talent enhancement and supervision
- Stay close to your team - take time to understand them, boost their confidence and support them in their day-to-day role
Other ad hoc business related :
- To get involved in new business across the agency, working in allocated teams to deliver best in class new business plans and responses
- Work together with New business to assist in composing RFIs and Pitch documents
- To attend and actively contribute to company, finance and departmental meetings. Supporting Heads of Department in creating inspiring and motivating content for use with account teams
Business Requirements :
Essential :
- Extensive experience gained in an agency or client-side marketing environment specifically bringing deep understanding of Digital and Social Media
- Multidisciplinary and multi-sector experience working across a number of accounts at the same time
- Proven ability to grow client business
- An excellent brain for business with demonstrable experience in developing first class strategic campaigns for clients
- A highly experienced and articulate writer of conceptual and strategic briefs who is able to inspire creative teams in their work and achieve outstanding results every time
Desired :
- A strong understanding of CRM technology and systems and an ability to demonstrate what the systems will add to the client's business
- Highly numerate with a strong understanding of financial management and profitability
- Significant experience in negotiating with clients - great sales skills are a must
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills demonstrated in senior level and influential relationships with clients - you should have experience in stakeholder management and evidence of dealing with difficult situations
- Confident and engaging presenter with experience in leading high level presentations
- A natural leader of people - you have extensive experience in managing and developing people
