Job Summary
The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in driving revenue growth by promoting the hotel's products and services, maintaining client relationships, and assisting in the execution of sales strategies. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction across corporate, leisure, and group segments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators, and event planners
Conduct sales calls, client meetings, and hotel site inspections
Prepare and negotiate contracts, proposals, and rate agreements
Support the management of group bookings, conferences, and events in coordination with operations teams
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts
Participate in trade shows, networking events, and promotional activities
Handle client inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Assist in preparing sales reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
2-4 years of experience in hotel sales or a related hospitality role
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Good understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and market segments
Proficiency in MS Office and hotel sales systems (CRM, PMS, or similar)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required
