The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth workflow, and adherence to quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The role involves supervising staff, managing reservations and customer relations, monitoring inventory and cost control, and assisting in achieving sales and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities:Operations & Service
Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain timely and accurate order delivery.
Ensure all food and beverages are served according to brand standards.
Handle guest complaints efficiently and ensure prompt resolution.
Support in maintaining cleanliness, ambiance, and safety of the restaurant.
Team Management
Assist in scheduling, training, and supervising restaurant staff.
Motivate and guide the service team to maintain a high level of professionalism.
Conduct pre-service briefings and ensure staff are well-informed about menu changes, promotions, and standards.
Financial & Administrative
Assist in achieving restaurant revenue and profitability goals.
Help control operating costs, minimize wastage, and manage inventory effectively.
Prepare daily sales reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Customer Experience
Build strong guest relationships and ensure repeat business through excellent service.
Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements.
Coordinate with marketing for promotions, events, and special offers.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Support in conducting regular audits and staff training on safety protocols.
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or related field.
3-5 years of F&B experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, POS systems, and inventory control.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
