The Assistant Operation Manager will support daily hospital operations to ensure smooth functioning across departments. The role focuses on patient service excellence, staff coordination, compliance, and process improvement to enhance overall hospital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing day-to-day hospital operations including OPD, IPD, NICU, Labour Room & Emergency.
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and support teams to maintain high-quality patient care.
Monitor patient flow, reduce waiting time, and ensure a seamless experience.
Handle escalations and resolve patient grievances promptly.
Oversee housekeeping, security, biomedical, ambulance, and facility maintenance activities.
Ensure availability of medical supplies, consumables, and operational resources.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, statutory requirements, and healthcare standards.
Prepare operational reports, MIS, duty rosters, and departmental documentation.
Support audits and quality improvement initiatives (NABH standards preferred).
Assist in staff training, performance tracking, and discipline.
Collaborate with management for operational planning and cost control.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospital/Healthcare Management or related field.
2-5 years of experience in hospital operations (Mother & Child Care experience preferred).
Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.
Problem-solving mindset with focus on patient satisfaction.
Proficiency in MS Office and hospital information systems (HIS).
