Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Vendor Discussion packs (Retail Analytics)
As the Vendor Discussion Packs Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with vendors to effectively manage merchandising activities.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze relevant data and information, develop negotiation strategies, and communicate effectively with vendors to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of vendor discussion packs to support negotiations and partnerships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including merchandising, sourcing, finance, and legal teams, to gather and analyze relevant data and information for inclusion in discussion packs.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and objectives based on analysis of vendor performance, market trends, and business priorities.
  • Prepare comprehensive discussion packs containing relevant information, analysis, and proposals to present to vendors during negotiations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate discussions with vendors to communicate negotiation objectives, resolve issues, and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Manage the negotiation process, including tracking progress, documenting agreements, and following up on action items to ensure timely implementation.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with negotiated agreements, and escalate issues as needed to resolve disputes and maintain positive relationships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers and identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership to drive business growth.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in vendor management and negotiation strategies, and incorporate them into our processes.




Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in vendor management, negotiation, or related roles, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data to inform negotiation strategies and decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in developing negotiation strategies, preparing discussion packs, and facilitating discussions with vendors.
  • Knowledge of vendor management best practices, contract negotiation principles, and supplier relationship management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
