Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Vendor Governance Support SPOC (VGSS)
The Vendor Governance Support SPOC (VGSS) will be a member of the Global Sourcing Team and has accountability for the following:

  • Supporting the Global Procurement team with responsibility of facilitating timely stakeholder inputs for conducting supplier risk assessments and helping achieve successful closure of the assessments using technology and ensuring adherence of Genpact\xe2\x80\x99s Policies including Sourcing and Vendor Governance policy.
  • Coordinate and working alongside VGO Team, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Sourcing Buyers, legal, Business Stakeholders and Suppliers to drive Global Sourcing\xe2\x80\x99s Vendor Governance Program.
  • Owning the end-to-end process of facilitating risk assessment closures aiding in a quick supplier onboarding.
  • Own the supplier inquiries, protests, and appeals and coordinate between stakeholders to resolve concerns.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to respective sourcing buyers that may arise from time to time.
The Role is critical as the success of the program safeguards the Company from various risk exposures like Info sec, regulatory, data privacy, financial, BCP, etc. This role covers facilitating sourcing buyers to connect with suppliers and other stakeholders to conduct risk assessment of suppliers globally across all business lines. A program launched in 2016 is under the focus of the leadership of the company.
The role entails constant interaction and following up with functions like Sourcing, Business, Legal, Risk SME\xe2\x80\x99s internally and the vendors externally.
Amongst the initiatives, as the program is still evolving, there would be enhancement of the role; the process needs to be automated, follow ups, controls need to be strengthened. Challenges are related to the same and may include, obtaining the approval of the leaders, and getting the appropriate risks mitigated.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Candidate will be a team member facilitating risk assessments conducted by VGO office and working closely with the sourcing buyers and suppliers, this includes: -
  • Respective Buyers will introduce VGSS to the respective stakeholders \xe2\x80\x93 Suppliers, Business requestor etc.
  • Post initiation of the VG assessment on One Trust tool, the resource is expected to rigorously perform a follow-up at different stages of assessments and on the VG requirements with the vendors, business & sourcing for timely delivery of responses, information & documents.
  • Pulling out various reports from the tool to identify aged cases for follow up.
  • Get an understanding of the engagements that are open and require follow ups for closure.
  • Coordinating with Infosec and other SMEs to understand the pendency requirements for an intelligent follow up on the specific open requirements.
  • Setting up regular calls with vendor in nudging the required information / documents for closure of engagement, else follow the VGO Escalation pathway to get things moved faster.
  • Resource should have English and local language knowledge, procurement skills as it will involve supplier dealings extensively, collaborative skills- to be able to work with the various stakeholders, project management -as every engagement is a mini-project to be closed.
  • Conducting Risk assessments in compliance with the VG policy & the various decisions taken by the steering committee
  • Implementation of new processes and technology
  • Automatic and streamlining existing processes wherever required.
  • Adherence to the VGO policy
  • Working with stakeholders across the business to ensure that the VGO policy is complied with and helping to resolve and fixing issues.
  • Keeping SOPs updated for new processes and adapting existing ones as new technology is deployed.
  • Supporting to manage the following key processes.
o Preparing Daily, Weekly, monthly quarterly Dashboards
o Aggressive follow up with stakeholders-business, core sourcing, SME\xe2\x80\x99s & suppliers to get assessments closed.
o Training and coaching of frequent defaulters.

Minimum qualification
  • Graduate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication experience.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and managing challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Procurement skills + risk background is a plus.
