Job Description


The Product Development role will have the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of the Product Development process within the organization. This includes market analysis, product innovations/technological developments, Quality Control, Contract Negotiations, Supplier evaluation, Logistics management. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, Inventory etc. Quality assurance of products. The role requires good communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and establishing strong relationships with suppliers. Product category : Electronic gadgets, Mobile accessories, Consumer electronics, etc Key Responsibilities: 1. Planning: \xc3\x98 Develop products that align with the company brand and targeted market. \xc3\x98 Conduct feasibility study and assess the market and financial viability of proposed product. \xc3\x98 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse procurement needs. \xc3\x98 Staying updated on Market trends, innovations/technological developments. \xc3\x98 Demand analysis based on inventory levels and sales projection. \xc3\x98 Product assortment analysis based on saleschannels. 2. Sourcing : \xc3\x98 Evaluating potential suppliers and obtaining quotes. \xc3\x98 Negotiatingcontract terms with the shortlistedsuppliers. \xc3\x98 Product sampling & testing according to the proposed quotes. \xc3\x98 Evaluating EOQ based on the demand analysis and other metrics. \xc3\x98 Compliance with the regulatory framework for the products. \xc3\x98 Packaging of the products that resonate with the brand identity. \xc3\x98 Evaluating potential shipping partners for logistical feasibility. 3. Purchase Order Processing: \xc3\x98 Process purchase orders according to the established SOP. \xc3\x98 Cross-functional coordination for the PO processing. \xc3\x98 Monitoring the product production process adhering to the contract terms. \xc3\x98 Logistics management of the orders. 4. Inventory Management: \xc3\x98 Inventory allotments to the Sales channels. \xc3\x98 Managing cost efficiency in the Inventory levels for all channels. 5. Post Product Delivery : \xc3\x98 Monitor supplier performance, product QC and its periodic analysis. \xc3\x98 Facilitate product training and support to sales representatives. \xc3\x98 Management of warranty terms and its compliance for defective products with the suppliers. 6. Reporting: \xc3\x98 Maintaining systemicrecords of every procurement processes, purchase orders, contracts, supplier, logistics, etc. \xc3\x98 Preparingreports such as financial analysis, supplier analysis, risk analysis, market analysis, etc Qualifications andSkill Requirements: - B.E / B.Tech, BBA, MBA (preferred) - Proven experience in procurement role or in a similar role. - Strong negotiation and analytical skills. - Proficiency in MS Office, i.e. Excel, etc. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work well under pressure and meeting deadlines. - Knowledge of industry best practices and procurement SOP.
