Assistant Manager, Product Management \xe2\x80\x93 Pune, India

The Product Manager has a significant role in realizing the vision of the product strategy and ensuring that products and services are developed with the needs of our customers in mind. This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with product, design, technology, program, business, regions, marketing, compliance and legal.

Role Responsibilities

• Hands on experience in both upstream product and service definition, and downstream product development and execution.
• Gather, analyze, and document project technical and non-technical requirements via user stories.
• Write user stories that clearly describe the desired business outcome and contain non-prescriptive \xe2\x80\x93 but testable - Acceptance Criteria that enables teams to define the best solution.
• Proven experience on owning responsibility for the overall application development lifecycle, including ensuring that project deliverables meet or exceed policies, procedures, and standards.
• Suggesting improvements or enhancements to processes and systems to increase customer satisfaction or improve productivity.
• Leading the testing of user stories to help the team meet the definition of done criteria.
• Proficiency in requirement gathering and decomposing epics and features into user stories.
• Coach various development teams to improve and mature their agile process.
• Strong understanding of data driven technical product management.
• Good understanding of how mobile apps and web systems work with basic knowledge of systems design.
• Working with UI/UX teams to bring engaging user experiences to life.
• Experience using agile scrum methodology drafting business requirements, prioritizing features, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborating with cross-functional team members.
• Manage products through the product development lifecycle ensuring that proper alignment and approvals are obtained from Legal, Compliance and Privacy.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Role Requirements

• 6-8 years of professional experience, with previous work experience as a Product Manager for 2\xe2\x80\x934 years.
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies is required, including the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Experience in supporting business and product teams in translating complex business needs into user stories.
• Experience in backlog grooming and user stories decomposition.
• Ability to test user stories against acceptance criteria.
• Strong knowledge of business process analysis and requirements analysis.
• Proven ability to ask probing questions to business/product/technology team members.
• Experience using JIRA, queries, story mapping, bulk updates.
• Good understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle.
• Understanding of complex product environment and dependencies.
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with cross-functional roles.
• Mentoring, coaching, and team building skills.
• Strong ability to assess risk and apply risk management practices in managing technical product development initiatives.
