Job Description

Key Responsibilities * Section 138 NI Act Case Handling

  • Draft and issue legal notices for cheque dishonour cases.
  • Coordinate with external counsel for filing and tracking cases.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory timelines and documentation.
  • Legal File Maintenance
  • Organize and maintain case files, agreements, and legal records.
  • Ensure proper indexing and digital archiving for easy retrieval.
  • Implement document retention policies.
  • Agreement Vetting
  • Review and vet commercial agreements for legal compliance.
  • Identify risks and suggest modifications to safeguard company interests.
  • Liaise with internal teams for contract execution and approvals.
  • MIS Preparation
  • Prepare and update MIS reports for ongoing litigations and compliance.
  • Track deadlines, case status, and key performance indicators.
  • Present monthly dashboards to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in corporate legal or litigation handling.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of NI Act, Contract Act, and corporate laws.
  • Excellent drafting and vetting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal MIS tools.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
