Job Description


Job Family Descriptor Drive regular operations maintenance of IT infrastructure applications and database including delivery of infrastructure projects Continously strive to improve security operations Provide 24 x 7 infrastructure and application support Drive incident problem change release configuration availability and capacity management with respect to IT Applications Infrastructure Drive management of SLAs related to service requests incidents and business processes billing mediation etc Gather requirement from business and assist with creation of solutions to meet operational needs Drive and monitor the Service Help Desk System SDP to ease resolution Deliver user documentation where required Quantify and analyze the service requests and incidents raised Liaise with the business to evaluate reduction of the no of tickets raised Drive creation of standard reportsformats where possible Share periodic projects status with relevant stakeholders Coordinate with the corporate security teams for all IT related security activities Monitor drive and track the compliance audit process for IT applications in coordination with the IT governance team on aspects such as SOX audits security audits on databases and software licenses Maintain the global access management and corporate security policies and design Design and deliver online security policy and trainings Ensure adherence to companys Acceptable Use Policy AUP Liaison with internal and external clients to support and address all security and compliance matters Manage vulnerability assessments and network monitoring to uncover potential weaknesses Broad outline of the Role Management of the IT team, including internal & external customers, responsible for the portfolio of business-critical information and software applications. Set the goals and objectives for the team, managing performance and professional development, identifying and arranging appropriate training to develop the team-s knowledge and expertise. Responsible for the delivery of Information Systems and associated support services across the business including systems availability and performance, operations support and change management services Responsible for implementing the strategic approach to information and information systems portfolio management. Develop and maintain a roadmap of the existing information systems portfolio ensuring that upgrades and enhancements are evaluated and deployed appropriately in collaboration with business users and technical colleagues. Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of Citrix End User Computing supporting over 1500+ users, supporting all critical enterprise business applications, and related services such as datacentre services. Responsible for the management of a motivated and talented Infrastructure Operations team. Leading and mentoring a skilled team, promoting cross-functional skills, competencies and capabilities and ensuring no single points of dependency. Security and compliance Ensure that all Information Systems within the portfolio are compliant with internal security policies and external legislative requirements such as data protection. Ensure appropriate organisational and technical controls are in place to meet the cyber security needs of the business and regulatory compliance. Develop and quality assure project proposals and business cases for new information systems and ensure that they meet strategic objectives. Business continuity, disaster recovery and information security management Analyse department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions Participate in the monthly review of the infrastructure risk process and manage audit items Abide to ISO standard policy and procedures. Essential Candidate Requirements Graduate/Engineer level qualification in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience Strong system administration in Microsoft technologies that include Windows server and Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows 10 & 11, O365, AIML, AZURE, AWS, Experience of upgrading Microsoft Server Operating systems and services, HPE servers, networking and storage or similar Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Exchange online administration and virtualisation such as Microsoft Hyper-V, or equivalent Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols MORE Certification in one or more of the following areas: Networking technologies (Particularly Cisco), Microsoft (MSCES/MCSA/MCP) non-Windows operating systems (Unix / Linux or Mac) and Virtualisation (Hyper-V,/VMware) Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, application architecture, system development methodologies Knowledge of standards and best practices relating to IT and Information systems development (e.g ITIL, ISO Standards) Information Security certification/qualifications (ISO Standard) will be added advantage Certification in one or more of the following areas: Networking technologies (Particularly Cisco), Microsoft (MSCES/MCSA/MCP) non-Windows operating systems (Unix / Linux or Mac) and Virtualisation (Hyper-V,/VMware) Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, application architecture, system development methodologies Knowledge of standards and best practices relating to IT and Information systems development (e.g ITIL, ISO Standards) Information Security certification/qualifications (ISO Standard) will be added advantage
