:

(Insurance Analytics - SAS, SQL, VBA, Advanced Excel)

Brief description of the role:

- Ensure consistent and timely delivery of key insurance reports built using SAS, SQL, Excel, VBA.

- Work with the client to improve the reports through rationalization, enhancement & automation

- Lead a team of SAS/SQL data analysts to deliver reports as per client requirement.

- Work with the team to solve client business problems by translating them into an analytics problem solving framework

- Continuously work towards improving the data flow, queries and the visualization of reports.

- Should be able to look deeper and quickly identify the flow of information from visualization back to data sources.

- Should be able to lead meetings with the client while working on ad-hoc data related projects

- The individual needs to leverage existing data and generate actionable insights

- Develop and maintain relationship with business stakeholders

- Business Problem Solutions with Value addition to client businesses

- Research and apply new methodologies to varied client situations

- Lead a team of analyst to solve for client problem

- Ensure adequate project governance (internal and external)

- Contributions to Strategic Initiatives within Analytics practice

Candidate Profile:

Education/Qualification:

1. Mandatory: Bachelors in Engineering/ Technology/Statistics or Masters in Computing (In case of graduation in Non-engineering stream), like MCA, BCA, M.Sc. in IT, No B.Com / B.A. candidates unless they have a computing Masters. Master\'s degree (if there), should be full time (no IGNOU)

Work Experience:

1. Flexible : 3 - 5 years in Analytics industry

2. Understanding of insurance (Life, Supplemental Health Insurance) would be added advantage

Functional Skills:

1. SQL knowledge (Mandatory)

a. Should be able to write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and process data from databases

b. Should have exposure to different database systems (Teradata)

2. Base SAS Knowledge (Mandatory)

3. Advanced Excel (Mandatory)

4. Knowledge of Stored Procedure would be an added advantage

Other Requirements:

1. Willing to work 1-10 pm, IST, Should be comfortable working till 2:30 AM on first 5 business days of the month

2. Good communication skills - should be able to converse fluently in English and have independent discussion with client

3. Knowledge of US Disability and Healthcare products will be an added advantage
