Job Description

The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for supporting the Front Office Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the front desk, guest services, reservations, and lobby management. The role ensures smooth guest arrival and departure, maintains service standards, handles guest issues, and supervises the FO team to deliver exceptional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities1. Operational Management



Assist in managing front desk operations including check-in, check-out, room assignments, and billing. Ensure smooth lobby operations and maintain guest flow efficiently. Coordinate with housekeeping for room readiness and daily occupancy updates. Monitor night audit reports, room revenue, and daily cashiering. Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, policies, and brand standards.

2. Guest Services



Ensure all guests receive warm, professional, and prompt service. Handle VIP arrivals, special requests, and guest complaints efficiently. Resolve guest issues with a problem-solving approach and follow up to ensure satisfaction. Ensure all guest preferences and feedback are recorded and communicated.

3. Staff Supervision



Assist in scheduling, training, and supervising front office associates, GSA, bell desk, and concierge. Conduct daily briefings and maintain communication within the team. Motivate staff to achieve guest satisfaction and departmental goals. Monitor grooming, discipline, and performance of the FO team.

4. Financial & Administrative Duties



Assist in controlling departmental expenses and reducing operational cost. Check and verify cashier reports, rebates, refunds, and adjustments. Support in forecasting, budgeting, and preparing departmental reports. Ensure accurate handling of cash, credit card transactions, and deposits.

5. Coordination & Communication



Liaise with Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Sales, and Security for guest needs. Ensure smooth communication during high occupancy, group arrivals, and events. Review arrival lists, group movements, VIP arrivals, and special instructions.

6. Systems & Technology



Efficiently operate PMS/IDS/Opera systems and train staff on use. Monitor system reports, room inventory, and occupancy levels. Ensure accurate data entry in reservation and front office modules.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Graduate in Hotel Management / Hospitality or equivalent. 3-5 years' experience in Front Office operations, with minimum 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Knowledge of PMS (Opera/IDS/WinHMS/Fidelio). Problem-solving ability and guest-focused approach. Ability to work under pressure and handle peak operations

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
