KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Duty Statements

PRE-BID DESIGN:

• Heating, Ventilation & Air conditioning (HVAC)

• Review of technical specification, Pre-bid query and detailed BOQ Preparation
• Vendors offers review
• Discussion with client to resolve queries and BOQ optimisation.

• Heating, Ventilation & Air conditioning (HVAC)

• Knowledge of Chiller with AHU system, VRF system, Ducting design system
• Preparation of design basis report, schemes
• Preparation of technical specification with detailed BOQ Preparation
• Techno-economic appraisal of HVAC package
• Heating and Cooling load calculations and equipment selection
• Pressure drop calculations
• Duct sizing & routing
• Review and analysis of vendor drawings, data sheets, QAP etc.
• Vendors offers review
• Shall be able to prepare/guide the design team to be able to prepare the P&ID, PFD, General arrangement drawings, layout, sections, cable schedule, bill of materials (BOMs) etc.
• Should be able to review the equipment vendor's drawings/documents. Should also be able to guide the design team to review the equipment vendor's drawings.
• Should be able to closely monitor the progress of work (both Projects as well as tender) of the design team. Should also ensure that the projects/tender deliverables are given on time, without delay.
• Should be able to handle/monitor the draftspersons.
• Should be able to co-ordinate with Electrical & civil design engineers wherever interfaces.
• Knowledge of standards (IS/SMACNA/ISHRAE/ASHRAE/ASTM).
• Knowledge of Auto Cad software is essential.
• Must be able to work independently for the jobs
• Person should possess good communication skills and able to discuss issues with customer / vendor
