Job Description


We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Customer Service that will handle the following :

  • Handling customer\xe2\x80\x99s enquiry for sailing schedules, shipment status (cargo tracking), container receivables and availability, verification of payments & release of export BLs and import EDOs and other general enquiries
  • Assign customer emails in line with the SmartCS procedures
  • Respond to general enquiries for all import and export general queries and close the enquiry via the SmartCS application
  • Provide updates to customers on change of vessel schedules and planned cargo movements
  • Liaise with operations for planned and unplanned changes
  • Provide new sales or trade leads to the sales team
  • Promote and support ZIM\xe2\x80\x99s e-commerce products to customers
  • Coordinate with the documentation team for resolution of complex inquiries or out of scope services and respond to the customer accordingly
  • Obtain acceptance of additional service fees from customers prior to authorizing the requested service

Requirements:

You will need to have :
  • Bachelor Degree in Merchant Marine Trade, Business Administration or related fields (preferred)
  • 1-3 year experience in shipping and logistics business
  • Good computer software skill (EXCEL, WORD)
  • Good communications skills
