Assistant Energy and Sustainability Manager

What this job involves:

Specialist on Energy and Sustainability

• Conducting Energy Audits and energy assessments with 3 to 5 years of experience
• Performing LEED commissioning and design review
• Identify and implement energy savings ideas
• Preferably a Certified Energy Auditor

Working with clients' project teams and stakeholders (Facility Managers / Engineers )

• Liaising with key client stakeholders to develop their energy / sustainability strategies
• Manage energy benchmarking and assessment using client selected analytics software as well as internal software platforms; analyze energy & water consumption metrics to identify opportunities and create control plans to sustain energy savings.
• Lead identification and prioritization of energy capital projects, operational changes and physical plant upgrades that result in reduced energy consumption. This could include HVAC upgrades, lighting retrofits, building envelope enhancements demand response and controls strategies, plug load management, employee engagement, and evaluating cutting edge technologies and services.
• Establish and monitor utilities budgets and data management processes.
• Develop and evaluate financial viability of projects for budgeting and approval.
• Report clear and concise metrics on various energy and sustainability activities (cost savings, CO2, water, etc), and achievements on prescribed intervals or as requested by client. Communicate plans and progress to all levels of staff through presentations and meetings.
• Providing strategic low and net zero energy advice for buildings and calculate scope 1, scope 2 and scope 3 emissions
