Job Description

The Assistant Bartender supports the Bar Manager and Senior Bartender in delivering exceptional beverage service. Responsible for bar setup, assisting in drink preparation, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth bar operations while providing excellent guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as per standard recipes. Support the Senior Bartender in cocktail preparation, garnishing, and service presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar counter, back bar, and storage areas. Ensure bar stock levels are maintained -- refill garnishes, mixers, glassware, and supplies as needed. Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards. Assist in checking inventory and report shortages to the Bar Manager. Help in receiving and arranging bar supplies and deliveries. Engage with guests courteously, ensuring prompt and professional service. Learn and maintain knowledge of the beverage menu, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and ingredients. Support during busy service hours and ensure timely drink delivery. Maintain proper grooming standards and represent the brand professionally.

Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in a restaurant, bar, or hotel. Basic knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wines, and bar equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for hospitality and willingness to learn. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Flexibility with shifts, including weekends and holidays. Certification in bartending or mixology is a plus.
