To support the Head Bartender in preparing, mixing, and serving beverages while maintaining the standards and authenticity of Japanese and Korean dining culture. The role involves assisting in bar operations, ensuring excellent guest service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the bartender in preparing cocktails, mocktails, and traditional Japanese/Korean beverages (e.g., sake, soju-based drinks, infused cocktails).
Ensure all bar mise-en-place (garnishes, glassware, tools, and stock) is prepared before service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar at all times.
Support in managing bar stock, replenishment, and inventory control.
Learn and adhere to standard recipes, beverage presentation, and serving techniques.
Assist in serving drinks directly to guests when required.
Provide product knowledge to guests regarding sake, soju, cocktails, and other beverages.
Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards as per restaurant policy.
Ensure smooth coordination with service staff and kitchen team.
Uphold Japanese and Korean hospitality values with attentive guest service.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a bar assistant or trainee bartender preferred.
Basic knowledge of spirits, cocktails, sake, and soju.
Strong interest in Japanese & Korean food and beverage culture.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
