Job Description

Role is responsible for driving the aggressive volume growth agenda in Mumbai market through MT & E Com channel. Identifying current and future opportunities in the geography by actively working to improve Input KPI's, engaging Field Sales teams and ensuring the business objectives are met through focused efforts.

  • Drive business growth in Mumbai by developing and executing strategic plans for Modern Trade and E-commerce channels, along with identifying and building new business opportunities.
  • Manage distribution through direct and indirect channels, ensuring efficient operations, distributor ROI, infrastructure readiness, and high product availability with strong fill rates.
  • Enhance sales team efficiency through regular training, effective use of tools like DMS/SFA, and close monitoring of performance across internal teams and third-party field staff.
  • Execute trade marketing initiatives including merchandising, in-store visibility, monthly promotions, and planogram compliance to boost product offtake and brand presence.
  • Coordinate with supply chain for forecasting and stock planning, reconcile promotional budgets with finance, and track market trends and competitor activities for actionable insights.

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in the FMCG industry, preferably in the food category, with a proven track record in Modern Trade and E-commerce channel management. Experience in the Mumbai market is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in negotiating with regional retail chains, handling distributor networks, and managing field sales teams.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, forecast trends, and drive data-backed decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to manage internal stakeholders and external partners effectively.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Self-driven, highly organized, and capable of multi-tasking under pressure, while maintaining team morale and achieving business goals.
