LAKSHMI is a tribute to the rich heritage of Indian textiles and presents an exclusive collection of Kanjeevarams, Benarasis, Kalamkaris, Jamdanis, Kotas, and more. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Artist. The Artist will be responsible for creating unique and creative artworks for LAKSHMI\'s collection of saris along with other merchandise, working closely with the design team.The position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to stay abreast of current fashion trends. Responsibilities Design Development: Conceptualize and create original artwork for sarees, considering factors such as fabric type, color palette, and cultural influences. Develop design sketches and patterns that enhance the beauty and appeal of our saree collection. Color Coordination: Work closely with the color palette to ensure harmony and balance in the saree designs. Stay updated on color trends and cultural preferences to create designs that resonate with our diverse customer base. Market Research: Stay informed about current fashion trends, market demands, and competitor offerings to ensure our saree designs remain competitive and on-trend. Qualifications Artistic Skills: Proficient in hand-drawing, digital design, or both, with a strong portfolio showcasing your artistic capabilities. Understanding of design software/tools relevant to the fashion industry. Fashion and Cultural Awareness: In-depth knowledge of current fashion trends, particularly in the context of traditional attire like sarees. Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the diverse preferences of saree wearers. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and collaborate with team members and other stakeholders. Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail to ensure precision in design execution and quality control. Education: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Fine Arts, Textile Design, or Graphic Design Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
