Job Description


Area Manager An opportunity to join the exciting journey of building Dunzo “Essentials”. Essentials is a strategic initiative for Dunzo to build a sustainable business to address the daily commerce requirements of customers. The goal is to give the best customer experience and use that as a differentiator. This role will require planning and deployment of essentials warehouse in the city. Focus on operations of the warehouses and drive operational improvements. Ability to assess cost vs ROI of operations initiatives and how it affects the sustainability of the business is a critical requirement. Responsibilities:

  • Manage effectively the day to day operation of the Store’s and team through the operational team leaders.
  • Drive RCA/quality Culture throughout the team.
  • Support the development of the Operational Team via coaching and mentoring.
  • Manage, motivate, hire & train and continually develop the Store team.
  • Responsible for the security of all Stores assets and infrastructure.
  • Manage the returns to the Stores and ensure items are dealt with promptly and returned to stock/supplier.
  • Maintain regular communication with Procurement managers to update on any supply challenges.
  • Follow up with stock controllers to ensure that stock movements and stock keeping standards are maintained in line with company guidelines.
  • Responsible for investigating stock discrepancies, including negatives, unfound and sold out, and reporting the information to relevant managers including the finance team.
  • Drive stock takes at regular frequency and report on results.
  • Ensure the highest operational standards are always deployed on floor.
  • Ensure the Store’s is compliant with current Health and Safety regulations and that the warehouse team is trained appropriately.
  • Regularly appraise team members and carry annual performance review at the communicated time. (Basis HR Department Communication).
  • Manage vendor relationship with all local vendors to ensure smooth supply.
Skills and Qualification:
  • Handled a team size of 100 + members. (Mix of on role & off role)
  • Good communication/stakeholder management skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience.
  • Warehouse/ Retail operations experience is mandatory.
  • Good understanding of MIS.
  • Graduation degree will be mandatory.
  • Well versed with local language.
Key Result Areas
  • Responsible for managing Store processes such as inbound, inventory management and outbound operations.
  • Manage a multilayer team of size 100+.
  • Analyse reports such as quality complaints, pilferages etc. to drive improvements.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure smooth supply of goods.
  • Drive improvement projects such as Kaizen, 5S and safety improvement projects.
Eligibility:
  • Education: Graduate from a reputed college.
  • Experience: 3-5 years
  • Location: Delhi NCR
