Job Description

About the role:

We are looking for a new colleague for our SAP BASIS Team within DHL SAP Solution Centre. You should have an understanding of SAP administration and knowledge of SAP BASIS support and/or experience with SAP basis projects (upgrades, migrations etc.).

You will be responsible for dedicated SAP landscape(s) consisting of modern SAP technologies (SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP Business Objects etc.).

Your work:

• Administration and support of the complex SAP environment
• Management of day to day operational activities (e.g. Oracle/HANA DB administration, sw logistic, proactive monitoring etc.)
• Ensure systems' availability and performance
• Disaster recovery solution planning and implementation (incl. performing of DR tests)
• Providing technical assistance to end users and collaborate with other ITS teams (e.g. SAP development, SAP application support, etc.)
• Resolve and update incident, problem and change ticket with relevant status and information - incl. analyzing root causes
• Participate on changes and projects (estimations, design, configuration, implementation)
• Later on, to provide consultations to projects impacting supported services and business continuity projects (upgrades, migrations, deployments, patches etc.)
• Ensure SAP Security remains compliant with SAP best practices and our internal security

You should have:

• 2+ years of experience with SAP BASIS
• Oracle/MaxDB/SAP HANA DB
• Understanding of Unix/Linux/Windows platform
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced English

About SAP team:

Our SAP team is covering both support and build projects. Consists of SAP BASIS, SAP application teams, SAP Security and SAP developers, all together 70+ SAP professionals located in Prague.

SAP BASIS team consists of 13 professionals with long term experience responsible for 2nd and 3rd level support. Team is taking care about more than 30 SAP landscapes. The scope covers diverse technologies including modern components like SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects. We are covering the whole product lifecycle by internal resources - from build to support.

IT Services is the internal provider of specialized IT Build services and industrialized IT Run services to Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) Group:

Supports over 260,000 DPDHL e-mail users;

Runs more than 7700 servers;
