Job Description

The Workplace Investing business comprises Client's institutional business units in the UK and other parts of Europe and is a strategic growth area. Technology acts as a key enabler in achieving business goals. This role requires a highly motivated technical professional to work within the Workplace Investing team supporting applications across cloud and on premise environments and performing technical analysis and application support as required.



The role involves maintaining and improving the performance and availability of web applications and platforms leading high impact incident investigation and recovery in collaboration with multiple technology teams providing technical guidance for incident resolution driving continuous application improvements ensuring production readiness of new programs by working with business and technology teams ensuring non functional requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle reviewing changes impacting the Workplace Investing business and aligning support requirements leading problem management for incident resolution performing proactive support and maintenance to prevent potential high severity incidents coordinating with delivery Unix database and network teams participating in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and proactively managing application risks related to functionality operations and capacity.



The required skills include strong knowledge of Oracle database concepts including Oracle 19c SQL DML and DDL query optimization stored procedures triggers and functions hands on experience with UNIX and shell scripting working knowledge of ETL tools such as Snaplogic and Informatica familiarity with scheduling tools like Control M experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies and strong analytical problem solving and documentation skills.
