Job Roles & responsibilities:

• Responsible for deeply understanding and explaining the product specifications and applications of Optical and Ethernet test and measurement solutions; which are used to test different wireline/Transport/Optical networks.
• Conveying the applications of these products to customers (Telecom operators, NEMs, research labs etc.)
• Meaningfully answering questions regarding the applications of these products to suite the needs of customers, after aligning with the global product managers of the OEMs.
• Delivering field Proof of Concept testing, demonstrations, support to customer queries, handling Test equipment upgrades for our Optical, Ethernet and IP/TDM transport test equipment and services
• Guiding customers on how to use the Telecom test equipment
• On-site visits for customer meetings, demonstrations, and providing support as per requirements
• Carry out the field Installation of these test and monitioring solutions under leadership guidance
• Handle day-to-day field deployment issues and customer communication.
• L2 technical issues handling and support.

job requirements:-

• Shall have knowledge of the technologies like TCP/IP, Ethernet, 400GE, 100GE, Coherent Optics, OTN, DWDM, CPRI/eCPRI, PTP/SyncE, Fiber Channel, latest vRAN and Open RAN concepts in 5G networks.
• Shall have knowledge of optical fiber plants in P-to-P and FTTx (GPON) networks; their link budgets, use of optical splitters, use of optical power meters, laser sources and OTDRs.
• Shall be very familiar with handling optical fiber cables and components
• Shall have a flair to prepare (and implement) documents and procedures to support operations
• Shall have the communications skills required to create and present technical design documents and test procedures to support operations.
• Shall be willing to read and learn ITU/IETF standards, RFCs, testing methodologies and wire line/wireless backhaul technologies.
• Shall be proactive in customer communication to understand requirements, solutions and issues and resolve them in timely manner.
