Responsibilities: API Development, Publishing, Support and related automation Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes Recommend product customization for system integration Demonstrate the ability to implement continuous improvement. Skills Required: 6+ years of IT experience with 3+ in API - APIGEE and IBM APIConnect - technologies API Engineer (Apigee) with integration and build experience (Apigee Edge Gateway and preferably IBM APIC Connect expertise) Hands-on experience in designing and developing high volume web services using API Protocols and Data Formats (REST, JSON, SOAP & XML). Experience in API Products like APIGEE in designing API facades, and designing and implementing API Proxies, and Developer portal Experience in securing APIs using Oauth, SAML, Open ID Connect and etc. Good knowledge on design principles and best practices in implementing REST APIs. Strong knowledge on message transformation languages like JavaScript, XSLT, and Java Experience working with and writing Swagger definitions Good knowledge on API publication methods e.g. API Products, versioning Mandatory Certificate: Nil Good to have Certificate: Apigee or API certification
