This position is in Cargill's food ingredients and bio-industrial business, where we anticipate trends around taste, nutrition and safety to innovate and provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers and foodservice companies. Job Purpose and Impact The APAC Bioindustry Regulatory Affairs Lead will Partnering with CBI business leaders by providing regulatory strategy/leadership and technical regulatory guidance to ensure that Cargill products and processes compliant with all applicable governmental regulations and corporate requirements and standards. Coordinate regulatory activities related with CBI businessesacross countries in APAC, to achieve a common approach to regulatory affairs. Interact with key customers and provide regulatory affairs support. Represent Cargill in key trade/scientific organizations to advance Cargill positions on emerging laws/regulations in APAC. Collaborate with country regulatory lead to build strong relationship with the governmental agencies and related external stakeholders. Key Accountabilities Lead, provide strategy and guidance, and coordinate the Regulatory Affairs initiatives within a Product group in the region to define the regulatory compliance for existing and new products marketed in the region and destine for export Lead industrial chemicals integration for regulatory in APAC, including leverage SME's and consultants, and responsible overall for execution and key leadership/ownership of the integration across CBI for APAC Lead future M&A integration in the region, whether cosmetic or industrial Provide thought leadership in Regulatory Affairs area in the region Understand, anticipate, and interpret regulatory changes Develop and coordinate regulatory positions, requirements, and processes by working with commercial teams and Functional units (FUs), key customers, and external regulatory agencies Partner with PSQR colleagues to assess and implement programs and processes that enable Regulatory compliance Participate in external organizations to benchmark Cargill systems, and to develop contacts in science, academia and government with the goal of shaping emerging regulations and advancing Cargill positions Develop strong Regulatory Affairs coordination and connections across product groups and regions to ensure their continuous development which enables the capacity for executing Regulatory compliance related activities Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Science Degree (chemical or agricultural focus areas) or equivalent experience Min 10 years of leadership and Bio industry/chemical regulatory affairs orrelated work experience Knowledge of APAC and international chemical, bioindustries, and cosmetic regulation and standards Experienced of dealing with government and trade association Technical Skills Demonstrated knowledge of technical in bioindustries, chemical and or cosmetics Ability to provide leadership and coordination of quality efforts across the team Organize work and projects effectively from planning through execution Maintain high profile, builds long-term relationships and network of useful contacts Ability to prioritize and manage risk Ability to champion Cargill's PSQR Initiatives Ability to travel to sites and meetings Produce high level reports within deadlines Good interpersonal and negotiation skill Able to maintain external network and relationship Preferred Qualifications Master degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Bio-technology, Bio-industry, Bio-Engineering, or Life-Science 15 years of leadership and grain quality experience Coming from industry background in pharma, chemical product, personal care or similar Knowledge of business practices and financial management Knowledge of all importing country chemical regulation
