Summary Coordinate and monitor the activities and information flow related to distributing, replenishing, importing & exporting product and materials for Taloja production site, and facilitate the logistics activities between Taloja Production site and the external warehouse(s) in India, as well as between India site and distribution warehouses/ shipment branches located in other countries and overseas suppliers.
The position reports to Head of Supply Chain in India. He /She will be accountable for the key metrics related to logistics service level performance for products supplied from India site. The position supports BU Supply Chain Management and Planning to coordinate and manage Import/Export clearing and materials management as per the Global Logistics Systems & Procedures.

Executive- Logistics
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree – B.Sc./B.Com.(Minimum Qualification)
  • Master’s degree (preferable) – M.Sc./M. Com

Experience:
  • 6-8 years of professional experience, working with supply chain/ logistics-operations, import and export customs clearing, handling multiple CHA/Forwarders, transportation vendor management, local and overseas distribution, warehouse management, or related supply chain management tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Handling overall Imports & Exports (Raw material, Finished goods & other items) In-coming, Out-going, Warehousing and Logistics activities.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience on complying with international export norms, local trade compliances and financial laws, Haz & Non-Haz. material movements.
  • Experience and familiar with day-to-day inventory movements in plant operations.
  • Knowledge and hands on working experience in SAP/EPR/JD Edward system on Materials Management and Distribution modules.
  • Experience and familiar with stock verification audits, cycle counts, material reconciliations and inventory adjustments.
  • Familiar with ABC analysis, KANBAN, JIT and Rack Storage systems.
  • Experience with products / materials shelf-life management, monitoring and control.
  • Preparation and reporting the daily stock status, dispatch report & material movement analysis.
  • Experience in handling GST related activities, E-way bill preparation, resolving queries raised by Customs and related govt. authorities – ADC-NOC, FSSAI, Export Council, etc.
  • Familiar with all documents and records as per IATF 16949:2016 / ISO 14001:2015, GMPs and US-FDA, etc.
  • Experience in managing multiple transporters for day-to-day supplier deliveries/ customer order movements.
  • Able to identify, improve, and maintain warehouse premises as per the standard safety norms and the basic 5S system/housekeeping.
  • Knowledge and hands on working experience on inventory reduction and cost reduction in warehousing & logistics activities such as: Delivery Lead Time reduction (OTIF) & Alternate supplier/transporter development, etc.
  • Familiar with Scrap disposal procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile:
  • Working Experience in Chemical Manufacturing industries, mandatory to have working at plant.
  • More exposure on warehousing & logistics operations, Inventory management & control with basic understanding on Planning Process and Order management.

Additional
  • Experience of working as Logistics Specialist for at least 8-10 years in chemical manufacturing units – Specialty Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, etc.
  • Preference will be given to the candidate working with MNCs, having knowledge on international standards.

  • Demonstrated ability on prioritization and managing conflicts.
  • Analytical skills (Negotiation, Inventory, Cost reduction, Problem solving. etc.,)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Transportation and Trade Compliance requirements awareness and related knowledge.
  • Understand manufacturing process and having business applications knowledge.
  • Effective Time management and prioritization
  • Computer knowledge is must – exposure to Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, MS Teams & Outlook, etc.
