We are looking for an Android developer having 4+ years of experience and responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. To ensure success as an android developer, you should demonstrate proficiency in one of the mainstream programming languages, and a sound understanding of the traditional product life cycle. Experience with at least MVVM or other kinds of Clean Architecture patterns would be very welcome. Company Background : We are a multinational software company that is growing at a fast pace. You will report to IIT\'ans/BITS grads with 10+ years of development experience and work with F500 companies (our customers). Responsibilities: 1. Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code. 2. Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform. 3. Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and write reliable Java / Kotlin code. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. 5. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. 6. Work with outside data sources and APIs. 7. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. 8. Help maintain code quality, organization. 9. Implementing measures to safeguard users\' data. 10. Collaborating with UI and UX Designers, as well as Software Testers, to ensure that each app is presentable and in perfect working order. 11. Creating app updates, including bug fixes and additional features, for release. 12. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. (Good to have) 13. Handling CI / CD. (Good to have) Skills & Requirements: 1. Degree in software development, computer science, or similar. 2. Proficiency in Java and Kotlin. 3. 3-4years of proven working experience in Android app development and have published at least one original Android app. 4. Ability to use the Android Studio, including the Android SDK, with ease. 5. Strong knowledge of different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. 6. Excellent coding and proofreading skills. 7. Top-notch teamwork and communication skills. 8. Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision. 9. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON 10. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs 11. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies 12. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. 13. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices 14. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning 15. Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks 16. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements 17. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications 18. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git 19. Familiarity with continuous integration 20. Knowledge of Flutter Framework, Dart (Good to have)
