Job Description

In this role you will support the Global Property product line to drive improvements in Property pricing in all business units across Global Property. You will focus on data, analytics, algorithms and tools that are global in nature. You will report to the Head of Global Property Projects as part of a team of 3 Actuaries and Data Scientists.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Help drive appropriate consistency in pricing and portfolio analysis across Global Property and Projects
• Development, documentation and maintenance of Shiny APIs or RMarkdown reports
• Global Property pricing dashboards on rate change and profitability metrics development and maintenance
• Work with Data, Pricing and Analytics to find the right approach for modelling.
• Impact assessment of global pricing algorithm changes
• Improve efficiency of pricing processes within Global Property
• Supporting for leveraging other AXA XL capabilities, e.g. Geospatial Underwriting, Risk Consulting, Strategic Analytics and DIA
• Contribute to Property pricing projects with the Global Property Pricing team which consists of 20 actuaries and data scientists based in New York, London, Switzerland, Paris, Poland and India

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Advanced coding Skills in R (libraries: data.table, DT, shiny), SQL
• Experience in working with large data sets
• Experience in non-life insurance pricing (preference for, not required)
• Experience in multivariate modelling in commercial insurance (preference for, not required)
• Analytical skills to evaluate business segment profitability
• Strong verbal communications skills to gain buy-in to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external clients.
• Good written communication skills
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
