Role Purpose :

  • As Capability Manager - You will be responsible for the Country sales team capability development journey which include veg. crop technical Capability & commercial acumen as well including PGH Team of Syngenta in India.
  • In this role you are also expected to bring in new & effective training tools & also leverage existing Syngenta training modules.
  • Builds and delivers customer-centered solutions that meet as many aspects of desired customer experiences, products, and services as possible.
  • Provides customer-centered solutions that go beyond existing customer requirements. Identifies opportunities that will benefit the customer, create value added services.
  • Sets standards, goals, and plans that improve work performance. Identifies action steps and develops realistic plans needed to accomplish objectives and team goals.
  • Generates and champions new ideas, approaches, and initiatives and creates an environment that nurtures and supports innovation.
  • Leverages fresh perspectives, breakthrough ideas, and new paradigms to create value in the market.
  • Encourages new ways of looking at problems, processes, or solutions.
Accountabilities:
  • Lead the development and deployment of "Country sales capability development roadmap" which is aimed at accelerated implementation of Country strategy by focusing on enhancement of customer experiences. The capability scope includes skills, behaviors, systems and processes.
  • Lead efforts to streamline learning efficiency and effectiveness by advancing leading-edge enabling tools.
  • Develop capability on Agronomy, New Technologies, Disease & Pest Management, Complain Handling in Commercial Team.
  • Align the activities to execute 6.2 demos (purpose, protocol, technical information, selective participation)
  • Participate in campaign rolling our program, there by addressing key messages / agronomy trainings.
  • Execution of Syngenta training modules and provide the on job/ on farm training to the sales team; ensuring strategic alignment of the training department with business goals.
  • Identifying training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments and Lead efforts to streamline learning efficiency and effectiveness and improving sales capability of the workforce & Organizing training session to hand hold New Joiner's time to time.
  • Developing and delivering training solutions that meet business needs using training methods or activities for a purpose and audience (online, role playing, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc.)
  • Managing In house or external partners to technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training.
  • Organize and conduct train-the-trainer sessions for in-house experts/trainers.
  • Ensure that the sales force have the right and effective tool to fulfill their job delivery in the marketplace and to align skills, behaviors, and capabilities to demonstrate company values.
Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience required for the job:
  • Agriculture Graduate / Post Graduate /doctorate, Preferably having Agro-Inputs Industry experience to undersatnd grower behaviour and agro business trends, Channel structures and behaviour & knowledge of Sales and Marketing principles, Sound knowledge of crop agronomy.
  • Track record in sales and marketing/Capability & Proven leadership skills and line management experience of 10-15 years
  • Strong ability to understand customer needs, structure and business drivers
  • Proven track record on handling protected cultivation.
Critical technical, professional, and personal capabilities :
  • Sound knowledge on competition activities and its impact or aligning with necessary steps. & Good in story making (technical / yet very effective- simple)
  • Strong drive & Passion, Multitasking, Good business understanding/acumen, Analytical thinking, Strategic thinking, Communication, and presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of weather and its impact on crop performance, good knowledge of soil, water, fertilizer management, Agronomic/cultural practices, establishing a quick technical solution (yet simple) for sales team to drive the business.
  • Leads change and holds ambiguity, Builds a culture of innovation, Focuses on customers, Manages for performance, Collaborates across boundaries.
  • Challenges the status quo and champions new initiatives. Acts as a catalyst of change and stimulates others to change. Paves the way for needed changes. Manages implementation effectively.
  • Domestic travel required
  • Mobility-open to relocate as per business need
