Agri Business Head ( Reinsurance)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Agri Head

1. Job Purpose Statement (Summarize in one/two statements why this job exists and the contribution makes to the overall business of the company). Agri business of Govt accounts insurance is a 40,000 crs premium segment and needs focused approach to work in this segment and position client as a Agri Tech Leader in India.

2. Duties & Responsibilities (List in the order of importance the duties & responsibilities of this job)

Primary Responsibilities:

- Drive engagement with Central and State Govts to understand and position client in existing insurance programs and work/structure alternatives.

- Crop insurance and subject matter advisory for Corporate and Insurance Clients.

- Get client appointed as Reinsurance broker or Direct Broker, or Consultant for Enrolment and claims coordination.

- Do Vendor tie-ups for tech support wherever required.

- Achieve Agri practice targets.

- Build and set up an on-field team to carry out the aforementioned roles.

- Position client to provide complete Agri services for PMFBY and Non-PMFBY utilizing client technology and geospatial crop analytics services.

- Work with reinsurers and client reinsurance team to target treaty and crop (re)insurance business.

- Strategize, Plan and execute initiatives to market client Agri services in other agricultural countries/continents including Africa, Lat America and SE Asia.

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Create required support structure to scale up business.

- Develop knowledge on Non-PMFBY parametric crop insurance solutions

- Develop Crop reinsurance ecosystem understanding and help Manager to build relationships to drive Crop treaty business.

- Understand client value proposition in Geospatial and Crop Risk Analytics to integrate in the client Agri Services help create an end-to-end comprehensive solution for our clients.

- Collaborate with Corporate Solutions Government & Tendering Head
