Role Title Account Manager-Government Job Level/ Designation M2 Function / Department Enterprise Location Mumbai Job Purpose Completely map the allocated set of accounts and understand the complete tendering process, build relationship and to act as a bridge between the organization and the client Increase new business and retain revenue To nurture / develop a relationship between the client and the organization for mutual benefit To increase share of wallet in the account by selling non mobility and mobility products. Major Activities (Responsibilities) Account Coverage and Account Management of accounts allocated to him/her. Tracking renewals through contract calendar and retaining existing contracts Map the complete buying process, understand the tendering process in the account and manage all relevant stake holders in the account. Broad basing in account by improving account and new product penetration Selling Vodafone Idea Business Service Solutions and product offerings in the accounts Meeting sales targets on annual, quarter and monthly basis Mapping all relevant stakeholders like Knowledge partners, System Integrators and Consultants for facilitating creation of DPR, tender Specs and negotiation. Understand the business, market needs and the competitive environment of the client in order to spec the tenders and formulating the bidding strategy. Understand the business of the client in order pitch in right services in the account Facilitate clients requirement through pre-sales team Ensure clients overall satisfaction with organizations engagement Manage the Govt environment and strongly engage in preselling/ specs setting Key Result Areas/Accountabilities .Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts inspecting equipment issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. .Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions. .Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and follow up on work results. .Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. .Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. .Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, trainings and by establishing personal networks. .Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as required. Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience Ability to engage with Senior technical Partners and IAS Officers in the ministries and Departments. 4-5 Years Experience in managing Govt. Accounts, and should have strong relationships in Maharashtra Govt. Relationship Building at all levels of Govt organization Interpersonal skills to manage relationship within the organizations Should have a strategic approach - both short term and long term. Should have a clear and focus on sales targets Should be updated on new technologies in order to engage effectively with Knowledge partners and System Integrators. Ability to comprehend and position VF products at appropriate places within customer organization Should have good leadership skills and thus be able to motivate his/her virtual project-specific team in order to achieve synergy Should have worked in Corporate/ Govt Sales Verticals General awareness of the telecom and related infrastructure market Good Communication (both written and oral) skills Interpersonal Skills Flexibility Relationship Management Skills Must have technical / professional qualifications Telecom Exposure (Preferable) Min. 8 yrs. of post qualification experience in Corporate Sales with Minimum of 3-4 years out of this in any ISP / Telecom or IT Company Vodafone Idea Limited (formerly Idea Cellular Limited) An Aditya Birla Group & Vodafone partnership
