The Eli Lilly and Company Capability Center, India (LCCI) is expanding our Information and Digital Solution (IDS \xe2\x80\x93 formerly IT) team as part of LCCI\xe2\x80\x99s broader IT strategy, to support current and future application development needs across the enterprise. LCCI is looking for team leaders across diverse areas of the Tech@Lilly organization including Agile Practice and Product Management.

The Team Leader will enable Lilly to leverage modern Agile practices and technology to solve complex business problems. The primary objectives for a Team Leader are to provide leadership, people management, business understanding needed to ensure that Tech@Lilly is strongly positioned to operate in a self-sufficient manner within a complex Lilly Tech and business environment.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading the execution of the assigned portfolio of programs and/or projects within a work-stream of Global, Regional, and/or Local project teams. Responsible for driving continuous improvement within the Agile practice. The experienced personal will help transition our business from its existing work practices to infusing a real agile understanding from the top-down. Coach, mentor, and guide our people to figure out the best solutions for their specific business challenges. Play a key role in the long-term strategy across the entire organization, helping our teams to deliver better products in a faster, more efficient manner.

Provide deep leadership and coaching in the project delivery lifecycle. Focus on shared learning, continuous improvement, and drive adoption of best practices. Demonstrate strong leadership in terms of ability to motivate, inspire, encourage, and challenge the team you lead to maximize their production. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, teamwork, and people development. Provide mentorship to accelerate the development of solution architecture and technical expertise, specific to the Lilly IDS environment. Understand the business processes being supported by the team. Coach and develop team members through performance management, development planning, promotion, and career plans; represent those team members in talent discussions.

Coaching Scrum Masters on effective use of the Agile toolset

Coaching Agile teams on Agile concepts, and appropriateness of the Agile approach

Coaching Leadership on Agile concepts and appropriateness of the Agile approach

Coaching Agile teams and Scrum Masters to resolve Agile team issues that are leading to team ineffectiveness.

Preparing training materials for employees striving to become Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Stakeholders, and Coaches

Providing training, including certification, for employees striving to become Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Stakeholders, and Coaches

Maintaining and reporting metrics on Agile team deployments

Educating key stakeholders on Scrum principles

Identify gaps and provide solutions to continuously improve Agile deployment.

Working with other Coaches to increase the effectiveness of Agile within the organization.

Lead maturity, readiness, and portfolio assessments

Articulate the value of the work planned and completed to key stakeholders.

Standards - Participate in the continuous development, improvement, verification, and enforcement of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to ensure efficient and effective operational practices.

Work with project teams to analyze current systems and processes and design a strategy for the adoption of agile best practices.

Lead agile workshops for both development and functional teams, as well as key stakeholders.

Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset and ensure the organization is at the forefront of industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as an Agile practitioner

Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)

Can showcase examples of implementing agile techniques in different cultures and environments.

Experience running agile projects of varying size and complexity.

Strong leader, educator, and coach

An excellent communicator and motivator

High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years of IT experience

Additional Skills/Preferences:

PMP Certified

Agile Coach certification

Scrum Master certification

Experience coaching at large organizations or Fortune 500 companies.

Computer Science background

Demonstrated management and leadership.

Demonstrated track record of successful Agile practice implementation.

Prior medical and/or scientific experience or background is highly preferable for this position.
