GLOBAL ENGINEERING SERVICES (GES) Global Engineering Services is the key largescale engineering, productivity, new growth initiative and process standardization enabler for HPS and outside HPS. With the largest skilled engineering pool available to PAS, LSS, HCP and Cyber and ready to expand to other GBEs, GES helps win GMPs and executes them, does design, engineer and execute all the other PAS, LSS, HCI and Cyber projects based out of major engineering centers at India, China, Bucharest and Uzbekistan, helps all the LOBs to carry out engineering and process standardization to improve the engineering quality and productivity and also supports all the LOBs in supporting migrations and long-term service contracts. THE OPPORTUNITY The Advanced Application Engineer is responsible for leading -design, Installation and configuration of ratio control, movement control and inventory monitoring application projects for the Refining, Oil and Gas, Offsites, Terminals and Chemical Industries. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES .Works independently & is fully proficient in applying established standards .Should act as technical interface to customers and is responsible to ensure that projects are executed within agreed schedule and budget to meet the customer technical specification requirements .Should be able to Independently carry out Control system Hardware and Software Detail Design, Engineering, Application Development, Testing, Integration of Hardware , FAT with customer , Site Commissioning, system Cut-overs, Loop Checking .Actively reviews and contributes in project lifecycle. As such, identifies to the customer which information is required .Should be able to develop Functional & detailed Design Specification .Should be able to develop Typicals / Templates for Complex Loops and develop project specific standards .Should be able to read, Understand P&IDs, Control Narratives, Logic diagrams, etc. .Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control and identifies risks / opportunities .Ensures that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation and implementation process at minimum cost by allocating work assignments to project team .Ensure group work in compliance with quality / safety procedures. Identify possible improvement opportunities and manage their implementation .Ensure common methods, techniques, tools and products as agreed by the knowledge communities / Process Owner Group (POG) Leaders are being effectively applied and provide feedback for future improvement .Ensures that the implementation of project engineers is reviewed with respect to project standards and quality documents .Ensures that the final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the customer by doing thorough quality checks .Shall contribute to productivity improvements through Kaizen processes. YOU MUST HAVE .7-10 years\' experience in implementation & comissioing and/or operation of refinery offsite management software for tank inventory management, blend planning, ratio controlling, optimizing & movement automation systems such as Honeywell BMA product suite, Aveva\'s TIS/MAS/BOSS/BPO/DBS, Yokogawa TIM/Movement Monitoring/BRC/BPC. .Knowledge of Instrumentation and control basics. .Extensive hands on experience on DCS implementation and commissioning. Honeywell Experion DCS configuration (Experion installations/control strategy implementation) experience is desirable. .Knowledge of SQL Database, SQL queries, Jscript are desirable. .Refinery processes / Tank Farm / Offsite operation knowledge is desirable. QUALIFICATIONS .BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering with implementation, operation & comissioing experience of refinery offsite management software for tank inventory management, blend planning, controlling, optimizing & movement automation systems such as Aveva\'s TIS/MAS/BOSS/BPO/DBS, Yokogawa TIM/Movement Monitoring/BRC/BPC.
