About the department

The position is based in the Production Infrastructure (PI) area, part of DD&IT\xe2\x80\x93 a department with 400+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our IT Infra compliance, Cloud Services, Infrastructure Services, Operations, IT Support, Major Incident Management and Digital Workplace Services. The Production Infrastructure is an area consisting of global Product teams with highly skilled and dedicated employees, supporting production sites infrastructure services across the globe. The position

Responsible for defining, build and operation of DD&IT PI Linux service and provide Technical operational support globally for Product Supply. The position holder also needs to be proactive in engaging in close dialogue with the IT architects, IT specialists and stakeholders across Product Supply IT including Production facilities and Datacentres globally to create and improve awareness on the technical deliveries of all the IT Infrastructure and IT Security support services to meet business expectations.

Bridge the gap between the Stakeholder requirements, Product Supply & DD&IT Project teams and System vendors ensuring that the IT Infrastructure support and IT Security services are provided on efficient terms. The position holder requires sound technical expertise, proficient stakeholder, vendor and communication skills with proven experience and high degree of IT Infrastructure technical knowledge. High Quality delivery, user focus and innovative initiatives will be a significant aspect of the job.

• Enable fast and optimal project execution according to roll-out plans and ensuring best possible operation and maintenance.
• Ensure a standardised platform worldwide in product supply IT and to establish strong relationship with stakeholders, end users, Service owners and IT suppliers.
• Manage Daily operations & Technical support in the IT Infrastructure area for Product Supply IT (PSnet).
• Manage the IT Infrastructure, audits and compliance levels as per Novo Nordisk norms.
• Manage and liaise with the IT Infrastructure and IT Security vendors providing DD&IT PI Linux service across Product Supply IT (PSnet).

Qualifications

• Computer Science Master or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or comparable degree in IT or relevant field (Software Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration).
• 10+ years of experience working within IT Infrastructure, IT Operations and Technical Services.
• 8+ years working with key stakeholders and decision makers outside India in a cross-functional, international environment.
• Technical IT Infrastructure experience from an international service or consultancy firm.
• Work experience & good knowledge in Infrastructure qualification, Compliance requirements in pharmaceutical industry, GxP knowledge will be an advantage.

Technical pre-requisites:

• Solid understanding and work experience with Linux based operating systems. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in trouble-shooting Linux issues in tandem with Application/Operating system issues.
• Solid understanding and work experience with Linux infrastructure patch management for multiple platforms.
• Solid understanding and work experience with managing and deploying Linux servers.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, DNS (Domain Name System), SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), NTP (Network Time Protocol) and IMAP (Internet Messaging Access Protocol) Knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM (IT service management) will be a plus.
• Experience in automation like ansible will be an added advantage.
