JOB DescriptionJob Title:- Advance Engineer-Cab and Body Design Large TractorDepartment:- ITC Large &Compact TractorReports To :- Large & Compact Tractor Team Leader /Manager1.) Each of its brands, including Case IH, New Holland Agriculture, Case and New Holland Construction, FPT Industrial, Capital, and Parts & Service, is a major international force in its specific sector.As a Tractor Design and Development Engineer, you will design new products and processes, as well as improve/maintain existing products for the Case IH and New Holland CCH [Cash Crop High] and 4WD agricultural tractors manufactured at the Racine, WI and Fargo, ND plants.The successful candidate will have mechanical design responsibility and lead \xe2\x80\x9cend to end\xe2\x80\x9d development projects for systems focused on operator cab interior/exterior, fenders, exterior trim, and enclosures. We seek candidates that have experience with the following systems: operator ingress/egress, cab sealing, fixed/bonded glass, fenders, mechanical controls (e.g. pedals, steering), interior/exterior plastic component surfacing, electronic component mounting, and audio systems. We seek candidates that have experience in any of the following: Cab and Operator Environment, Non-metallic enclosure design, or other general on or off-road vehicle engineering systems. Knowledge of HVAC, NVH, and Human Factors/Ergonomics, as well as strong leadership and communication skills will help to ensure a successful fit.2.) Dimensions: -Reporting through Superiors / Managers : Global Technology & GPL OrganizationsReporting through Subordinates :Position Responsibility : India & International Region.3.) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: --Cab Architect for layouts Management in TC- DMU Checks for new proposal- New Design proposal preparation for Varity reduction, Features Addition , Standardization and verifying the following-Design and develop cab and operator environment systems: inclusive of concept selection, prototype builds, field validation, and support industrialize new product launches and feature upgrades.Complete 2D print creation and engineering releases to ensure desired implementation, communicate design intent, and provide quality expectations as APQP/PPAP input.Capture requirements to define performance expectations and system integration, aligned to program objectives and functional needs, including design for manufacturing.Conduct design calculations: utilize hand calculation and analysis tools, consider trade-offs, recommend system concepts, and lead design reviews throughout the development process.Prioritize workload and plan project tasks to deliver consistent results that meet or exceed the time, cost, and quality expectations of both external and internal customersProactively mitigate risk utilizing virtual analysis, DFMEA, ergonomic studies, physical bench and sub-system testing and other tools/methods to identify and manage design risk.Identify, contain, and resolve design issues: utilize disciplined 7-step method, advanced modelling, and statistical tools to confirm root cause and implement resolutions.Communicate with management; utilize engineering tools in concert with verbal/written skills and trade off analysis to concisely convey feasibility, performance, and customer acceptance.Collaborate with process partners to align expectations among manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, commercial/marketing, program leadership, and other members of the platform team.Design Procedure Documentation:( DQP) Preparation of Design Documents for Engineering Design of Tractor level parts of various competencies including CAB&BODYAble to Conduct DFMEA and Design review sessions for CFT.5) Background Information and Main Activities: -\xc2\xb7 Past experience in agriculture machines, ideally tractors, sprayers, or combines\xc2\xb7 Balance of strong technical and communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability\xc2\xb7 9-12 years of experience working on globally based, cross functional teams, including operator stations, engine/cooling installation, or chassis design.\xc2\xb7 Experience in Human Factors, Human Machine Interface, Operator Environment or other on or off-road vehicle engineering systems.\xc2\xb7 Past experience working in or collaborating with industrial design/styling\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal/leadership skills, ability to manage change effectively to minimize program impact\xc2\xb7 Experience with mechanical linkages, point layouts, and kinematic calculations\xc2\xb7 Experience participating in or conducting exterior lighting and visibility studies\xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of computer applications (Excel, Word, Project, Vis, etc.)\xc2\xb7 Pro-mechanism or similar experience with mechanical linkages and point layouts6) Work Relationship : -InternalCompetency teams of PD like DAS, Hydraulics, Driveline, DMU and Design EngineerExternalGlobal large tractor design teams at various locations; Manufacturing; Quality; Purchase7) Qualification, Age and Experience: -Education-Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Automotive EngineeringProfessional Qualification.9-12 years of prior work experience in design and product development of off-road equipment or similar vehicles6-9 years of Pro/E Creo and Teamcenter experienceExperiencePrior work experience in cab interior design, with a focus on injection molding, thermoforming, and other common interior component materials and processesAble to Conduct DFMEA and Design review sessions for CFT.TravelAbility to travel nationally <10%, with peaks during machine builds8) Other Information

  • Agricultural and/or Construction Equipment experience desired.
  • Work in cross functional team within the PD department
  • Complete the work in the time frame as per the guidance of senior team member
  • Release designs meeting quality requirements
  • Accountable for meeting own targets, which impact the immediate team.
  • Experience with virtual design validation alternatives desired (examples: FEA,CFD, 3-D Virtual Prototyping)
  • Provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced engineers.
