Role Summary:
The ASM - Affordable Housing is responsible for driving sales of affordable housing loan products within the assigned territory. The role includes managing a team of sales officers/relationship managers, sourcing new business through various channels, maintaining relationships with channel partners, and ensuring portfolio quality while achieving disbursement targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
Drive affordable housing loan sales and achieve monthly/quarterly disbursement targets.
Develop business through DSAs, connectors, builders, developers, and direct sourcing.
Identify and tap into new markets and customer segments.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales officers/relationship managers.
Set individual targets, monitor performance, and ensure productivity.
Motivate and guide the team to deliver high-quality customer service.
Channel & Partner Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with DSAs, builders, and intermediaries.
Ensure timely payouts, partner engagement, and business continuity.
Customer Engagement & Service:
Act as a point of contact for escalations and ensure quick resolution.
Provide guidance to customers on loan eligibility, documentation, and product benefits.
Risk & Portfolio Quality:
Ensure credit quality by sourcing high-quality proposals.
Monitor delinquency, early defaults, and take corrective measures.
Coordinate with credit, operations, and collections teams for smooth processing.
Market Intelligence:
Track competitor activities, market trends, and regulatory changes in affordable housing finance.
Share insights with management for product and process improvements.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Affordable Housing Loan products.
Proven track record in retail lending, housing finance, or LAP segment.
Ability to drive sales team performance and achieve targets.
Excellent relationship-building skills with partners and customers.
Good understanding of credit underwriting parameters and documentation.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
