This is an entry-level management position whose key role is to manage complex operational processes and projects, track and report metrics, and to assist service center managers in more complex projects. While working independently, the incumbent relies on their direct manager and service center managers for advice and direction when necessary. At times the position will direct managed service provider staff.

The position utilizes many systems and applications including but not limited to various accounts payable ERPs, x-Suite, SAP, NextGen/Coupa, Apex FirstStrike and Microsoft Office.

Additional job duties for this position may include some of the following:

Project work - including communicating with suppliers, carriers, facilities, ITP - Invoice to Pay, procurement and transportation personnel. Onboard EDI transactions and testing with suppliers, carriers and facilities. Analyze EDI data for compatibility and grief resolution.

Perform SOX testing to include, but not limited to communicating requirements.

Ensure process documentation and procedures are updated and maintained for the department to ensure data integrity.

The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems that may not be obvious. Solve problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions. The incumbent is free to determine the best way to complete job assignments to achieve desired results. The team or manager gives general instructions on what needs to be done, when it needs to be done and how it is typically done. The jobholder knows in advance the details of what needs to be done to serve customers and the standard procedures in place to accomplish it. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, etc.

Typical internal customers include various contacts throughout Caterpillar worldwide and its subsidiaries. External contacts include various customers, suppliers, and vendors throughout worldwide markets.

Travel requirements - Minimal travel may be required.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

Degree in Accounting required.

SAP experience is preferred.

Knowledge and experience with ITP - Invoice to Pay (Accounts or Freights Payable) processes and systems is preferred.

Good human relations and communication skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the company.

The position requires strong analytical skills.

Flexibility to work in US shift is required.
