The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and general ledger entries. The role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with hotel accounting standards, supporting the Finance team in maintaining fiscal control and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Operations
Handle day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
Process and verify invoices, payment vouchers, and expense claims in compliance with company policies.
Prepare and post daily revenue reports, ensuring accuracy in room revenue, F&B, and other hotel departments.
Reconcile income audit reports with front office and POS systems.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Accounts Receivable & Payable
Monitor customer accounts, process invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
Verify supplier invoices, prepare payment runs, and reconcile vendor accounts.
Maintain proper records of all financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports as required by management.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Support audits by providing documentation and schedules as needed.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate filing and documentation for easy retrieval and audit compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
.
Minimum
2-4 years of experience
in accounting,
preferably in the hospitality industry (hotel/resort background is mandatory)
.
Knowledge of
hotel accounting systems
such as
Opera PMS, Sun System, IDS, or Tally
is an advantage.
Strong understanding of revenue audit, cost control, and expense tracking in hotel operations.
Proficient in
MS Excel
and accounting software.
Good knowledge of
taxation, GST/VAT, and local accounting regulations
.
