Job Title: Accountant - Hospitality IndustryJob Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting financial decision-making within the hospitality operation. This role focuses on revenue tracking, cost control, compliance, and financial analysis to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management



Maintain accurate financial records, general ledgers, and journals Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Reconcile bank statements, cash accounts, and credit card transactions

Revenue & Cost Control



Monitor daily revenues from rooms, food & beverage, events, and other outlets Analyze operating costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Accounts Payable & Receivable



Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments Manage accounts receivable, billing, and collections Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances

Payroll & Compliance



Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations Ensure compliance with tax regulations, labor laws, and internal policies Prepare and file tax returns, VAT/GST, and statutory reports

Inventory & Asset Control



Track inventory for food, beverages, and supplies Conduct stock reconciliations and investigate variances Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules

Audit & Reporting



Support internal and external audits Ensure adherence to accounting standards and hospitality best practices Prepare management reports and financial insights for leadership
Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or service industry

Technical Skills



Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or hospitality PMS systems) Strong knowledge of financial reporting and cost control Advanced Excel and data analysis skills

Soft Skills



High attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience

Experience in hotel, resort, restaurant, or catering operations Knowledge of hospitality revenue management and cost structures
Working Conditions

Full-time position May require extended hours during month-end or peak seasons
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
