Objective: To oversee the smooth functioning of the Academics Department and ensuring consistent provision for academic ambiance. The prime role of the Academics Operation Head is to provide strong academic leadership. Required to lead, manage and develop the department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities. Manage staff in the day-to-day operations for functional area(s) of responsibility. Responsible for retaining staff, career coaching, personal development for direct reports and accountable for the performance of employees. Ensure work completion within schedule and constraints. Main duties and Responsibilities: ACADEMIC IMPLEMENTATION Build capacity by training and coaching school leaders, academic coordinators, and teachers in NALANDA LEARNING partner schools to drive implementation of NALANDA LEARNING academic system that delivers excellent student outcomes. Support and monitor NALANDA LEARNING academic system execution in partner schools through regular observations and data- driven conversations. Create and share excellent and meaningful reports at regular intervals to showcase student and teacher performance and interventions that are carried out for school development Be responsible for development & implementation of Academics. To attend meetings when required by Senior Management. Be responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the Department. Conduct training & orientation programmes. Develop and deliver Professional Development workshops, observe and analyze classroom practices design further interventions based on identified needs. Work with Director & departmental heads to ensure course correction, if required. Be responsible for recruitment of Academics Team & evaluation of their performance on a regular basis. Evaluate business processes and operational and/or financial effectiveness. Analyze and resolve complex issues and provide alternative solutions as necessary. May lead process improvement for immediate unit. Represent the unit\'s business and academic operations. Manage the academic data and the school\'s student information system (SIS) SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT Building strong relationships with school owners, principals, academic coordinators and teachers and invest them in the implementation of the academic system. Work closely with stakeholders in partner schools to co -create and execute school development plans that help them achieve the desired student outcomes and grow the NALANDA LEARNING program support Ensure that all the schools implement lesson plans as per the guidelines. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE - KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Education and Qualification: Having at least 12-15+ years\' experience in Education [Pre-Primary], specially handling pre-primary Academic Pan-India Operations Qualification - B.Ed., mandatory; Ph.D. Degree preferred; Must have done ECCE/NTT REQUIREMENTS: Departmental Head - Delivering consistent result and creating collaborative relationships. People Leader - Developing talent and engaging associates. Leadership - Practice breakthrough thinking and navigate complex challenges with the team. Strong Strategic skills Experience with building and developing teams. Enthusiastic to work in a growing start-up environment with tight deadlines while maintaining quality. Ability and flexibility to travel 15-20 days a month. Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and collaborating with large and diverse teams. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical and planning skills Flexible and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
