Job Description

We are seeking a 3D Printer Technician to join our manufacturing facility to operate and maintain various 3D Printing machines and offer services to our clients. We have already set up a Rapid Prototyping facility with 4 FDM 3D printers and 1 SLA 3D printer. The Rapid Prototyping centre is part of the larger MATTER Facility that provides for prototyping and pilot production facilities across all the engineering domains. Role: 3D Printer Technician Employment type: Full time Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform basic inspection operations with digital calipers, thread gauges, etc. (Basic knowledge on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ie GD & T)
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Perform post-processing and finishing of 3D printed parts
• Maintain machines and ensure all tools and materials needed are on hand to ensure continuous production
• Perform post-printing and surface finishing - Sanding, Buffing, Painting and Curing
• Preparation of 3D printing operation Reports on need basis for Documentation purpose
• Complete inventory management
• Troubleshooting the errors occured in 3D printers to reduce the downtime.

Requirements Essential skills and aptitude

• Must have knowledge and experience with
  • CAD modelling - Solidworks, Fusion 360
  • Slicing software - CURA
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills - Google sheets and Docs
• Strong analytical and machine shop mathematical skills
• Experience in working different types of 3D Printers like FDM, SLA
• Knowledge of 3D printer operation, maintenance and troubleshooting preferred Basic CAD modelling skills, both mechanical and surfacing
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator. Able to follow both written and verbal instructions

Qualifications and Educational Background

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Automobile/Electronics engineering

Experience 1 - 3 years of experience in working different types of 3D Printers like FDM, SLA and additive manufacturing technologies
