Job Summary:
The Zonal Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing the sales team, and driving business growth within the South India zone. This role involves developing regional strategies, overseeing Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and ensuring consistent market expansion in line with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement zonal sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers and Medical Representatives.
Monitor secondary and primary sales, ensuring consistent achievement of monthly and quarterly targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders -- distributors, stockists, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's presence within the zone.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and product performance to optimize sales strategy.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct regular reviews, training sessions, and field visits to support and motivate the sales team.
Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth business operations.
Submit periodic sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to the management team.
Key Requirements:
Education:
B.Sc / B.Pharm / M.Sc / MBA in Marketing or related field.
Experience:
10-15 years in pharma sales with at least 3-5 years in a regional or zonal managerial role.
Industry Exposure:
Generic Pharma segments preferred.

Strong leadership and team management skills

Good understanding of market dynamics and distribution networks
