Job Summary:
As the
Zonal Head - Sales & Marketing for the East Region
, you will be responsible for spearheading sales and marketing initiatives across eastern states of India. You will drive business expansion, enhance brand visibility, and increase revenue in alignment with organizational goals. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver consistent results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales & Marketing Leadership
Develop and execute regional sales and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives.
Drive brand awareness and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies across the East.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to shape marketing and sales tactics.
Maintain consistency in brand messaging and ensure adherence to marketing quality standards.
2. Business Development & Revenue Growth
Lead and grow sales for PTMT Taps, Faucets, Valves & Accessories, PPR, PE-RT, MDPE Pipes & Fittings, and future product lines.
Identify new market opportunities and formulate go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
Set and achieve sales targets (monthly, quarterly, annually) for assigned states in the East.
Expand and optimize the regional distribution and channel partner network.
Track regional profitability and implement cost-effective sales strategies.
3. Team Management & Performance Optimization
Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing regional sales and marketing team.
Conduct regular team reviews, joint field visits, and one-on-one coaching sessions.
Foster a performance-driven culture focused on innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
Roll out and oversee area-specific marketing campaigns and initiatives.
4. Operational & Financial Management
Manage zonal marketing and promotional budgets effectively.
Ensure adherence to corporate credit policies and support timely payment collections.
Establish and monitor performance metrics to assess sales efficiency and marketing impact.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and policy compliance.
Target Deliverables:
Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets as per the company's growth trajectory.
Contribute to achieving the company's annual growth target of 25-30% through focused sales execution.
Regular market visits to improve reach, strengthen relationships, and develop new business avenues.
Build and maintain strong channel partner relationships to drive sustained revenue growth.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
12-18 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing in the plumbing/building materials domain.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing large sales teams across regions.
Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across the East region.
