will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the operational policies of the organization's respective zones, in alignment with organizational rules, initiatives, and goals. The role involves ensuring smooth execution of both long-term and short-term plans through effective leadership, management, and coordination.
The ZC will be a key member of the organization and will
report directly to the Zonal Director and Programme Manager
, while working in close coordination with the Zonal Director and Zonal Secretary Programme. The position requires a strong understanding of the organization's functioning and the ability to manage diverse operations efficiently. Excellent people skills, leadership ability, and strong work ethics are essential to ensure the functionality and sustainable growth of the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Awareness of Zonal Team and Centers
The ZC should be fully aware of all centers within the assigned zone and the operational zonal team. There should be consistent interaction between the Zonal Coordinator, Zonal Secretary Programme, and Zonal Director. Administrative reporting will be to the Programme Manager.
Representation of the Zone
The ZC should be capable of representing the zone at key forums, including meetings with government officials or other stakeholders, either independently or along with other zonal team members.
Daily and Weekly Reporting
The ZC shall maintain and update weekly reports of all centers in the zone. Reports should include:
Number of days classes were conducted
Number of volunteers present
Subjects and topics covered
Donations received
External visits and purpose
Issues faced and resolutions
Weekly exceptions (brief)
Center Visits
The ZC must visit centers at least once a week. For example, in a zone with three centers, visits should be spread across three days. In larger zones, each center must be visited at least once every two weeks.
Syllabus Implementation
The ZC will oversee syllabus implementation at all Reach and Teach and Footpathshaala centers. Monthly teaching targets will be assigned and reviewed weekly.
Weekly chapter plans must be prepared
Plans should be shared with volunteers at least one day in advance
Volunteers must receive weekly guidance, study materials, and assessment support
Coordination with Programme Manager
The ZC will provide inputs to the Programme Manager for assistance, reporting, planning, and preparation of monthly reports and newsletters.
Coordination with Local Authorities
The ZC will participate in monthly area visits along with the center team, understand community-level issues, and identify local authorities who can help address those concerns.
Monthly and Centralized Test Reporting
The ZC shall:
Maintain monthly test records in Excel
Track student progress quarterly
Prepare impact assessment reports for each child
Design monthly and centralized test papers
Coordinate with Zonal Secretary Operations for report cards
CMC Visit Reports
The ZC will compile and track CMC visit reports, ensure issues raised are resolved, and escalate unresolved matters (after two visits) to the Programme Manager.
Monthly Report Preparation
The ZC will prepare a detailed monthly report covering performance metrics of all centers. A ranking and rating system will be maintained based on defined parameters.
Monthly Calendar Planning & Execution
The ZC must ensure adherence to scheduled dates for Baal Sabha, PTMs, and monthly tests. Any deviation must be documented with reasons and included in the monthly report.
Center-wise Risk Assessment Report
The ZC shall conduct regular follow-ups with center heads to anticipate potential risks (e.g., location issues) and proactively identify alternate solutions to prevent disruption or closure.
Support to Zonal Director
The ZC should assist the Zonal Director whenever required, especially in resolving underperformance or operational challenges at centers.
Publicity and Outreach
The ZC will help increase organizational reach through offline and online platforms, including quarterly visits to nearby colleges/universities for volunteer engagement.
Identification and Support of Student Talent
The ZC shall identify talented students and coordinate with the central Talent Support Team to arrange auditions, training, and sponsorships in arts and sports.
Resource Coordination
The ZC must ensure availability of books, stationery, school bags, and other center requirements across all centers.
Health and Welfare Initiatives
The ZC will assess health and nutrition needs of centers and coordinate with the Zonal Director to arrange medical, vaccination, and de-addiction camps.
Parent Interaction and Home Visits
The ZC shall participate in home visits and parent meetings along with volunteers to strengthen parent engagement.
Volunteer Recruitment, Induction & Training
The ZC is responsible for ensuring adequate volunteer strength at each center, recruiting volunteers from colleges and communities, conducting inductions, and coordinating training programs with HR.

Graduation in any field with at least
6 months of experience
in education or social work ORGraduation in Social Work / Teaching field.
