This role plays a strategic role in developing and executing yarn strategies that drive speed to market, improve cost efficiency, and support sustainability and innovation. This position is responsible for managing a robust global yarn matrix, leading complex negotiations, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure availability aligns with development, and production timelines. The role requires deep expertise in textile manufacturing, market intelligence, and yarn sourcing, as well as a proactive mindset to identify and mitigate material risks.

Your role and impact
Lead Yarn Sourcing Strategy that support business goals and sustainability objectives
Own and optimize the yarn supplier matrix to balance flexibility, lead time, quality, and cost
Build and maintain dashboards and mill KPIs to drive continuous improvement and provide insights to leadership
Track WIP (work-in-progress) status with mills to ensure timely yarn deliveries ; Monitor capacity actualization vs. projections
Partner with mills and garment suppliers to resolve quality related issues and liabilities
Partner with global yarn mills to conduct cost negotiations and capacity planning aligned with forecasted demand.
Analyse cost components and global market trends to support fact-based negotiation strategies.
Provide yarn forecasts, initiate commitments, and ensure clear communication for bulk execution and flexibility needs
Drive initiatives that elevate mill performance and enable product innovation through supplier Engagement & Negotiation
Conduct new yarn mill sourcing, technical capability reviews, and onboarding
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Sustainability, Quality, and Planning to align on yarn strategies.

About you
Bachelor's degree in Textiles
10-12+ years of experience in international yarn sourcing or yarn production
Expert technical knowledge of yarn manufacturing process
Understanding of garment production, dry/wet processing, and cut-and-sew operations.
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing global supplier relationships.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Experience with sustainability initiatives and supply chain traceability road mapping is preferred.
