Perform X-rays, KUB (Kidneys, Ureters, Bladder) studies, IVP (Intravenous Pyelogram), and other urology-specific imaging as required.
Ensure proper patient positioning and correct exposure parameters for optimal image quality.
Assist doctors during specialized urological imaging procedures.
Process, review, and store images using PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
2. Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Operate X-ray machines and related imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct routine checks, calibration, and preventive maintenance of imaging equipment.
Report any equipment malfunction or safety issue immediately to the biomedical/engineering team.
3. Patient Care & Safety
Prepare and guide patients for procedures with clear explanations and reassurance.
Follow radiation safety protocols for patients, self, and staff.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Ensure patient identification and consent before conducting any imaging procedure.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, films, and reports.
Assist in maintaining imaging data for hospital MIS and audits.
Ensure compliance with AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) guidelines and hospital policies.
5. Coordination & Teamwork
Work collaboratively with urologists, radiologists, and nursing staff.
Support emergency and OPD cases requiring imaging support.
Assist during pre-operative and post-operative urology investigations.
