Job Summary

The X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures. The role involves preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and assisting radiologists in accurate diagnosis while maintaining excellent patient care and service standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures according to physician orders. Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while ensuring comfort and safety. Operate and maintain X-ray machines, CR/DR systems, and related radiographic equipment. Adjust exposure factors to ensure high-quality images with minimal radiation dose. Follow radiation protection protocols for patients, colleagues, and self. Assist radiologists during special imaging procedures as needed. Verify patient identity and explain the procedure to ensure cooperation and reduce anxiety. Ensure accurate digital image processing, labeling, and storage in PACS/RIS. Report equipment malfunctions and assist in troubleshooting basic issues.
