Job Description

An X-Ray Technician with 2-3 years of experience performs diagnostic imaging (X-rays, possibly CT/MRI), focusing on patient positioning, equipment operation, radiation safety, and producing high-quality images, while maintaining records and collaborating with radiologists, requiring skills in patient care, technical proficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Preparation

: Explain procedures, position patients correctly, ensure comfort, and monitor them during imaging.

Equipment Operation

: Operate X-ray, CT, and MRI machines, adjusting settings for optimal image quality.

Image Production

: Perform imaging procedures, review images for clarity, and retake if necessary.

Radiation Safety

: Strictly follow protocols (lead aprons, shielding) to minimize exposure for patients and staff.

Record Keeping

: Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.

Collaboration

: Work with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Equipment Maintenance

: Perform routine checks, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting.

Experience Level Expectations (2-3 Years)

: Independent execution of standard procedures. Proficiency in handling common X-ray, CT, and MRI scenarios. Solid grasp of safety protocols and record-keeping.
